Not much time to rest here as you gain mid mountain, really cool views of Mary's & Peaked peak amphitheatre. Once you get to the base of Mary's Ridge, there will be an aid station here, mile 2.2 approx, now the real fun begins, you'll head straight up Mary's ascent, the trail consists of big boulders, single track, may require use of your hands, yet a very passable path that has seen lots of foot traffic. Incredible views of the Grand Teton come into view once you're about to hit the summit of Mary's Nipple (9,920' ft), you'll catch your breath, run along the ridge towards the saddle between Mary's and Peaked Mountain, this will be amazing high alpine world class mountain running. Please be confident in your stepping.
This area will be a much welcomed ease of severe climbing you experienced pushing for Mary's summit. You'll begin to make a short, but technical ascent to Peaked Mountain summit, incredible views of Grand Teton, Grand Targhee resort & views of the entire valley. The ascent is steep & technical area w potential of snow, again, please be confident in your steps, & mindful of your fellow competitors. You'll summit of Peaked Mountain (elevation 9,830' ft.) truly a breathtaking summit. From here you descend Peaked Mountain, it will be a mix of rock ridge connecting to a brief service road, there will be another Aid Station, approx mile 3.8. Start to descend down to Ain’t Life Grand singletrack to brief service road connecting quickly to Peaked Trail singletrack. Towards lower mountain, you will make one last downhill push on the Yada singletrack, onto Yada Yada trail. You will finish back on lower portion of Andy's singletrack, then finish in the vendor village at Trap Bar plaza where you started.
