At Circus Blvd and Calliandra Dr, runners pass into Glen Oaks Estates from about 7:33 until 7:41 then you'll have the fast runners returning at about 7:43. PLEASE NOTE, You will inform ANY runner/walker who is exiting the neighborhood AFTER 8:17 that they are to use the sidewalk back to the Finish so Circus Blvd can be reopened.

At Breezemont Dr at Calliandra, runners will be entering Glen Oaks off Circus Blvd and staying on Calliandra Dr from about 7:33 until 7:42. Directions to them "STAY STRAIGHT" Around 7:42 you will also have the first runners on Breezemont Dr turning RIGHT onto Calliandra to exit the neighborhood, directions to them "TURN RIGHT" Last runners/walkers should pass you by 8:16

On Calliandra Dr at Big Pine Rd, runners will be turning left onto Big Pine Rd from about 7:35 until 7:51. Directions to them "TURN LEFT" Vehicles entering off of Beneva should be directed by Sarasota Police Officer at that position to detour via 17th St and Circus Blvd

Directions to them "TURN RIGHT, STAY RIGHT" Runners will be exiting from the water station turning right onto Pin Oaks St until about 8:11, directions to them "TURN RIGHT"

Details

Help with the ongoing race activities, at the "post-race" and help breaking down and cleaning up.
Tasks could include distributing the finisher medals as the runners & walkers return or helping our Post-Race Captain with the food and beverages.

COVID protocols in accordance with CDC guidelines will be in place. Volunteers will have hand sanitizer, gloves and disposable masks or face-shields available to them.

Water Station on Allenwood Way

Water Station Volunteer High Priority

Details

Set up table in the center of Allenwood Way then stage and replenish the sealed water bottles on the table for participants to take themselves. Pick up refuse and bottles tossed by participants.

All supplies plus hand sanitizer, gloves and disposable face masks will be there for you. You provide the man- or woman-power and enthusiastic encouragement to the participants.

Unlike the "traditional" water stations where volunteers pour water into cups to then hand to the runners, COVID precautions for the safety of volunteers and runners have changed the way we will do things for this Flamingo 5K.

Location

On Allenwood Way in the middle. Participants will pass on the west side of the street heading south (toward Allenwood St) on the first part of the course then on the north side of the street heading north (toward Pin Oaks St)
