The Ascent Race

The Ascent is a 5K + Fun Run/Walk/Roll is brought to you by The Phoenix Journey. 

The Phoenix Journey is a Non-Profit group determined to encourage, educate and support those effected with an autoimmune disease of any kind along with the friends and family.

On Saturday March 29th, we will be raising awareness for and ncouraging those going through their ascent, while fighting back against auto-immune disease by running our Ascent Race!  This is a family friendly event that will have music, vendors, giveaways, post-race refreshments and a whole lot of FUN!!

The Ascent - 5K - a competitive race comprised through the beautiful Schott Park in Humble, TX.  The Race will be timed and awards will be given to the Top 3 Male and Female Finishers.

The Ascent - Fun Run/Walk/Roll - this is not like any fun run you have done before, because you (YES YOU!) set the finish line.  There will be mile markers along the way to keep track of your Ascent.

**The time limit for the course will be 1-hour.

Male and Female Masters (40+)
Male and Female Grand Masters (60+)
Top 3 Male and Female for the following:   
10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Fun Run
Personalized Award Certificate with distance and time written on it.

If you or someone you know is affected by autoimmune disease, you know some days are better than others, and some are just bad.  But each person shows courage day by day making the decision to face the challenges of the ascent for that day. The important thing is to show the courage and determination needed as an effected person, a caregiver, a family member, or friend to make your ascent and be celebrated.  We invite you, family, friends to come join us in making this incredible event, cause and day one for the memory books!

Virtual Events

Virtual Event participants are welcome to run any day, anytime, at the location of their choice! 

Your registration includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping for your packet. Your packet will be mailed to you and will ship out the Tuesday after the race. You can upload your times starting the day of the event on the results page. You can also upload any photos in the "participant upload" album on the photos page!

WEATHER & CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY

In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants. All Next Level Race Management events proceed rain, shine, snow, or cold.  For that reason, we have a strict no-refund policy. 

If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director. 

We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans. 

Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.

Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

If you are unable to participate in the event, upon request we can switch you to Virtual and you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal, and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course. *See our virtual race information for complete details.
