Course Summary
Come to Southeast Minnesota to "Storm the Park" and enjoy all that the trails at Whitewater State Park has to offer!! This is the first of the four race series, The Storm Trail Race Series. There will be a 15k course that follows and crosses the Whitewater River and offers beautiful views of the river, meadows, and surrounding bluffs. Multiple loops of this amazing course will make up the 30k. The 50k race will follow the same course with an additional 1.6k added to the 15k that will take participants all the way out to Coyote Point. This 16.6k loop will be completed 3 times for the 50k distance. The 5k course will climb you up to Chimney Rock and Inspiration Point and then back down to the Whitewater River.
Schedule of Events
Check-in begins at 7:00 am.
To avoid any last-minute stress, aim to arrive at the race venue 30 minutes before your race is set to begin. This will allow you to complete the check-in process and be ready to race 10 minutes before the official start time.
Race start times are as follows:
50k - 8:00 am
30k - 9:00 am
15k - 9:30 am
5k - 10:00 am
Note: All vehicles will need a state park pass while inside Whitewater State Park. We recommend you purchase an annual pass online. You can also purchase a daily pass at a discounted rate of $5 at the Visitor's Center on race day.

Aid Stations
For the 15k and 30k there will be one Aid Station at miles 3.5, 4.5 and 8.5, which is the same AS visited multiple times, and then at the Start/Finish line. We will have orange Tailwind and all the typical Aid Station food available. For the 50k there will be the Aid Station at miles 3.5, 4.5 and 9.2, which are the same AS visited multiple times and then at the Start/Finish line.
Race Shirts
Technical shirts can be purchased during registration for $15. Shirt order deadline is Saturday, March 15th, 2025. You will not be able to exchange sizes on race day so please be sure to double-check the size you are ordering.

Storm Sporting Events was founded in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that aims to promote health and wellness while raising awareness for youth mental health through inclusive events for all ages. Our goal is to raise funds for programs and scholarships dedicated to providing essential services in youth mental healthcare.
We strive to create a welcoming and positive community focusing on mental health, physical activity, and giving back to others.
