WE ARE ON FOR THIS MORNING!!!! The rain can't keep us away from trotting!
Join us for the 4th Annual North Shore 5k Turkey Trot and Fun Run/Walk!!
Earn your turkey and pie for later in the day by joining your neighbors in our beautiful neighborhood. Two race options are being offered this year. You have the option of racing in a 5k around the neighborhood or participating in a 1 mile fun run/walk!
Runners of the 5k will start from the beach at 9:00am. Participants in the fun run/walk will start at 9:05am. Strollers and well behaved furry friends are encouraged, but please remember to pick up after your pets! Both races will start and end at the beach. We invite you to stick around afterwards for hot apple cider and donuts and a celebration ceremony to the winners of the race. The trophy will be a frozen turkey given in your name to a local food bank! A great way to support our community and its a pretty awesome celebration moment post race!
Registration proceeds will go to the beautification of the North Shore beach, so please spread the word and invite your friends and family to enjoy this awesome event!

What happens in the event inclement of weather?
- A DECISION REGARDING THE RACE WILL BE MADE BY 7:00am THANKSGIVING MORNING!!

North Shore wants to provide a safe race environment for all participants. Should there be a time that we feel it is unsafe to start a race or proceed with the race, once it has started, the following policy may be enforced;
Severe Weather: While lightning may be the most commonly thought of weather issue, there are many other conditions that could force us to make a change to an event (high winds, flooding, snow and ice, heavy rain, safety concerns on the course, etc.). Circumstances not related to weather (downed trees or power lines, local emergencies, etc.) can also impact an event. In some cases, these conditions may be obvious to participants, and in others they may only be known to race officials.
Modifications to a race can include delaying a race start, modifying a racecourse, postponing a race to a later date, or canceling an event. The Race Director reserves the right to make modifications to an event at any time, and we exercise this right in order to keep participants, volunteers, and spectators safe. While we love to race, safety is our #1 priority.
We promise to communicate issues to participants as soon as possible leading up to an event through e-mail and updates to our website. In some instances, we are able to make decisions several days in advance; other situations call for “game time” decisions.
The above conditions will be recognized as “an act of god” and will not result in the refunding of race entry fees or future race credits. Unfortunately, almost all race related expenses will have been incurred prior to the actual race. Should the race be forced to cancel, the financial impact on the race would not be any different than if the race was held in its entirety. Thus, refunding of entry fees would devastate the financial future of the race.
Can I bring my dog?
- Yes! Friendly furry friends are welcome to participate. Please remember to pick up after your pet
Where should I park?
- If possible, please drive your golf cart or walk to the race. In the event you are coming from elsewhere, please park at the Beach
Are there any snacks?
- Yes, we will have coffee, donuts, and apple cider to enjoy post race
