The MIP Foundation Turkey Trot

We invite you to come join #TeamMIP and participate in our 2024 Turkey Trot 5k and Fun Walk. The Turkey Trot is a Springfield Township Thanksgiving tradition, previously operated by the Spartan Track & Field Alumni, who gifted the race to The MIP Foundation in 2019.Proceeds from this even help us to reach our goal of helping teens and young adults facing cancer learn how to turn their pain into power. The Original MIP, Colin Delaney, was a proud Spartan Alumni  and many race participants continue to run in his honor.

5K begins at 8:30am. Bib pickup/check in begins at 7:30. 

1 mile fun walk begins immediately after the runners leave the starting line.

We encourage you to start a fundraising team and join with others to help raise funds to further the Mission of The MIP Foundation.  With your help, we provide support to adolescents and young adults fighting cancer through a series of programs all geared towards mental wellness, empowerment, and peer connections. A teenager that is diagnosed with cancer has many unique (and grown up) challenges to overcome. Their emerging independence is gone, they are isolated from their peers, and their world is forever changed. Cancer at such a young age will give them lifelong physical and emotional issues to face.  

Your race registration and fellow team mates contributions will help to make a difference in the lives of these teens and young adults!
