Description
This race is planned on behalf of the Amanda Pair Foundation, a non-profit organization with the intent to honor the life and legacy of Amanda Pair, who we lost in June of 2022 after a hard-fought and courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 40. The mission of the foundation is to overcome cancer by caring for families affected by cancer, funding cancer research, and investing in the next generation.
The 3rd Annual Amanda Pair Foundation Legacy Run in the Park will be a 5k race and fun run event with the majority of proceeds to be directed to fund a memorial scholarship created in Amanda’s honor by the Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park PTO. The race will be a loop around the community of Liberty Park, starting and ending at Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park. Amanda served the VHELP PTO tirelessly for many years and was the PTO President during the 2020-2021 school year. This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving Liberty Park senior student at VHHS who exemplifies the rebel spirit with a servant heart. The scholarship will be available each year through 2035.
To receive a race shirt, we ask that you register by 10/27.
Online donations can be made at AmandaPair.org or directly through runsignup.com
Parking will be at Liberty Park Middle School.
