The course begins on the river path just North of the new pedestrian bridge on the West side of the Mighty Fox River in the heart of historic Downtown Aurora. It heads North roughly one and a half miles before taking a U-turn beneath Indian Trail Rd. where it then heads South again on the West side of the river. After crossing Illinois Ave. participants head East over the river and continue South on the East side. The final turn will be a right to head West towards an exhilarating finish across the new pedestrian bridge crossing the Mighty Fox from East to West with a beautiful view of Downtown Aurora to the South.
Description

All proceeds benefit the Aurora East Educational Foundation and A + Foundation for West Aurora Schools in their support of students of both the East and West Aurora School Districts. This event is sure to be an exciting one, finishing with the final straightaway across the pedestrian bridge in Downtown Aurora.
Registrants will receive a commemorative long sleeve performance shirt. The shirt will feature a design created by an art student from East or West Aurora High school.

The Mission of A+ is to support and promote educational, cultural and charitable programs for the students and alumni of School District 129. The Aurora East Educational Foundation
The Aurora East Educational Foundation (AEEF) was established in 1993 to provide funds and resources for the enhancement and enrichment of the educational programs and activities of East Aurora School District 131. The AEEF attracts private funds and resources to support programs and services not funded with tax dollars. The AEEF is a not-for-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) corporation directed and governed by a group of private citizens, most of whom are graduates of East Aurora High School or district residents.
Over the last 8 years, the AEEF has been able to provide over $400,000 in Scholarships for Students and Mini-Grants for Teachers w/in EASD 131 and assisted D131 in securing over $1,241,000 in grant funds. The mini-grant award program has been well received by teachers and staff throughout the entire district and the scholarship program has grown dramatically on an annual basis.
Many thanks to all of our donors who have helped grow the scholarship program throughout the years. The 3 tiers of the AEEF Scholarship Program comprise: Students Pursuing a Degree in Education, High Achieving Students who have Excelled Academically throughout their High School Career, and Students Pursuing a Career Path in Vocational Studies.
