Fly with the Eagles Half Marathon

How many aid stations will be on course?  What will be served at the aid station? 
There will be a total of 3 aid stations. Water will be available at each aid station. Aid Stations will be at approximately miles 3.5, 6.5/7, and 9.  Runners will past each aid station twice.

Will cups be provided at each aid station?
In an effort to better the environment this is a cup less race.

How hilly is the course? 
It has a few slight hills for your enjoyment.  There's a little over 200 feet of elevation gain. 

What is the terrain like on the course?
it is mostly on asphalt but it does have a few areas that are chip/tar along with some concrete mixed in.

Are there any restrooms on course?
Yes - runners will run back near the starting/parking area which is around mile 3.5 and additional restrooms are located near the turn around in the golf course which is around mile 9.  

I signed up for the Half Marathon but something came up, can I transfer to the Virtual Half?
Yes - as long as you contact us before registration closes you can transfer though you will be responsible for any additional or processing fees.

Are dogs allowed on the course? 
Dogs are not allow on the course. This is for the comfort and safety of other runners.

How long do I have to finish the race?
There is a 3 hour cut off.

Will race day registration be available?
There is no race day registration.

I meant to add-on a decal/extra hoodie when I registered, is there a way I can still get one?

Yes, on RunSignup go to My Registration (top right); under Upcoming Events select Fly with the Eagles Half Marathon; under the Participant's name select Manage Registration; scroll towards bottom and select Add-Ons; it will then pull up a selection of all the add-on options; select the item and indicate how many; once complete select continue to finish the transaction should.

I was injured after registering for the race. Can I get a refund or defer until next year?
No - there will be NO refunds or deferments. 

I'd like to take a shower after the race, are there places nearby that can accommodate?
If you are staying at a hotel we recommend seeing if they will allow a late checkout.  Other options are purchasing a day-pass at one of the local gyms. 

Will the event go on rain or shine?
Yes - the event will go on rain or shine.

Are there any places on the course that my family can watch?
Yes - there is parking located at Hickory Ridge Golf Course along with other areas you may catch a glimpse of them throughout the course. Please be mindful while driving on the course to watch out for runners. Please respect local residents and not accidentally block an entrance or impede traffic. 

I've had something come up and can't make it to the race, can I have someone else pick up my hoodie for me?
Yes - you may have someone else pick it up for you but they will need a copy of your registration and something showing you have given your consent.  Please note that hoodies are only guaranteed if picked up before the start of the race.

I forgot to get my hoodie, can I still get it after the race?
Unfortunately, hoodies are only guaranteed if picked up before the start of the race.  If we have any extras left over after the race you are more than welcome to get one.

I signed up for the Virtual, when will I receive my hoodie and finisher medal?

Hoodies and finisher medals are typically mailed out the week following the actual event.

I'm signed up for the Virtual, how do I submit my time?
Once registration closes you will receive an email with directions on how to submit your time.  You can also submit your time by going to your profile in RunSignUp, click on Fly with the Eagles Manage Registration, select Virtual Race, scroll down to Submit Results, there should be three boxes to submit your time, once complete click Submit Results. Or you can go to the Results tab and there will be a prompt button to select to Submit Virtual Results.
