Swim Alaska Virtual

Mon April 1 - Sat August 31 Anchorage, AK 99516 US Directions

Swim the Diomede Round Trip

(7.6 km / 4.7 mi) - less than .05 miles per day

This is going to be, shall we say, BRISK. From Little Diomede to Big Diomede should probably be planned around any severe tides. This is probably more of a sprint come to think of it. Oh, and one more thing, better bring your passport, because Big Diomede is in Russia!

Swim the Shoreline of Big Lake

( 107.8 km / 67 mi) - about 1100 m or 1200 yds per day

This is one of south central Alaska's biggest recreation areas, so keep your head on a swivel. You never know when you might see a jet-ski, ski-boat, or float plane. But your just as likely to get offered a cup of coffee...or an adult recreational beverage :-). Enjoy the coastline and sun! (we don't condone swimming intoxicated).
