At the heart of HSP's mission is AlterNatives Boutique in Carytown, which creates markets for Indigenous artisans, promoting economic empowerment by providing tools for branding and market access. Through the Partner in Service program, HSP offers transformative service trips that immerse participants in the vibrant cultures of White Mountain Apache in Arizona and Maya communities in Guatemala and Virginia, supporting community-based organizers working in health, education, and conservation. By integrating deep ecology principles with social justice and Indigenous knowledge systems, HSP enhances ecological awareness, gender equity, civic participation, and cultural pride.
