We have 2 charity partners for this race. Donations will be split between these two charities where were selected by Bernie and Leo.
Bernie has selected the Hindman Settlement School which is performing great work in Eastern Kentucky especially related to the recent devastating flooding. Bernie grew up in Hindman, Kentucky.
Leo has selected Special Olympics Kentucky as the charity he'd like to support. Special Olympics has made a difference in our community for many years.
MORE ABOUT THE HINDMAN SETTLEMENT SCHOOL
The Settlement School’s mission is to provide education and service opportunities for people of the mountains, while keeping them mindful of their heritage. While our mission has remained the same since our founding in 1902, our programs have evolved over time to meet the changing needs of the region.
The Settlement’s major work today includes education and service programs that address critical educational needs of the region’s youth, promote cultural awareness, and address emerging issues of health and food insecurity through increased access to nutritious, locally-grown foods.
MORE ABOUT SPECIAL OLYMPICS KENTUCKY
