CASA OF THE RIVER REGION - ADVOCATING FOR CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE

Donation Goal: $7,500

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for children in foster care. These children have been victims of abuse and/or neglect. Our CASA volunteers walk with them through their entire court case. Our program strives to find safe, permanent homes for the children. We currently advocate for 146 children. There are over 300 children in the two counties we serve. It costs approximately $1500 a year to advocate for a child. We are raising funds to advocate for 5 new child cases in 2025, which totals $7,500!
