We are deaf and disabled people who support deaf/disabled incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, as well as deaf/disabled people who have been accused of a crime. We run three programs, which:
1) advocate for the freedom and dignity of currently incarcerated deaf/disabled people,
2) provide linguistically and culturally accessible re-entry support services to formerly incarcerated deaf/disabled people, and
3) offer accessible education to deaf/disabled communities, movement organizations, and legal workers about how incarceration and policing target our deaf/disabled communities and disables people, and how to become better allies with and within our communities.
We do this work because we envision a world where all multiply-marginalized deaf/disabled people are inherently valued and have the resources, safety and love they need to thrive and live self-determined lives.
